Although the exact rate may vary depending on the manufacturer’s instructions, a common guideline is to mix about 10 to 20 milliliters in 20 liters of water. Spraying is best done in the early morning or late evening to avoid strong sunlight, which can reduce the effectiveness of the chemical and increase the risk of plant damage. For best results, farmers should begin spraying as soon as pests are noticed and may repeat the application every 7 to 10 days depending on the severity of the infestation.
